A DE may involve striking through lines or paragraphs, recommendations for moving words, lines, or whole paragraphs to increase meaning or clarity, and suggestions for developing story elements such as character, setting, or structure.
In addition to examining your story’s macro and micro elements, we may also address other factors–for example, dialog.
Macro elements include story intention, structure (tension/stakes/shift moment), character, and foreshadowing.
Micro elements include opening and ending, clarity, language (including compression, brevity, and urgency), and show and tell.
