Editor In Chief
Rhonda Schlumpberger is a Midwest farmer’s daughter who liked climbing to the top of grain silos to watch sunsets. Later, she enjoyed the challenges of military service and a career in molecular diagnostic sales and team management.
Intrepidus Ink explores her interest in determined individuals, conflict, and overcoming defeat: “Ut ipsi succedant.”
Rhonda holds an MA from SNHU and an MFA from Seton Hill University. She’s formerly a Fiction Editor at Orion’s Belt Magazine, a Priority Editor at Flash Fiction Magazine, and an intern at Entangled Publishing.
She adores language, the flash reader’s experience, and compression, brevity, and urgency in texts. She seeks excellent structure in short fiction that gives the reader an exceptional experience.
Rhonda’s work appears in Faineant Press, Space and Time Magazine, New Flash Fiction Review, Misery Tourism, Frost Zone Zine, All Worlds Wayfarer, Pulp Modern Flash, and others, and anthologies such as When the World Stopped and Like Sunshine After Rain, edited by Heidi Ruby Miller.
Her best advice concerns coffee and SoCal: both are hot. She’s on X @intrepidusink and Bluesky @intrepidusink.bsky.social.
